One of Austria’s best-known and most exclusive winter sports resorts, Kitzbühel is situated between two breathtaking mountains – the Hahnenkamm and the Kitzbühler Horn, making it our favourite ski packages to Austria. Both mountains offer fantastic ski slopes, with the Hahnenkamm hosting the annual World Cup ski races including the circuit’s most important event, the downhill race on the famous Streif slope. This downhill is one of the toughest downhill competitions in the World Cup.
Lech is undoubtedly one of the best loved winter resorts in the world. Boasting a vast high altitude domain of over 270km of piste, the village offers everything you could want from a winter sports holiday – including high quality hotels/ pensions, fine dining and great après ski, not to mention the endless kilometres of skiing. Lech is full of international flavour, attracting a wide scope of visitors from all over the world – including royalty! They even filmed the sequel to Bridget Jones diary there in 2004.
If you are looking for accommodation in Saalbach you will be spoilt for choice. There are three main lift systems in Saalbach ski resort which will give you access to in excess of 200 km of big white powdery snow. There are numerous facilities for the beginner as well as a challenge for experienced skiers.
St. Johann is a petite, picturesque town nestled between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser mountains. It has a vibrant international feel, yet the resort retains the charm of a traditional Tirolean village.
Westendorf Ski Resort was once a traditional little rural farming hamlet cuddled in the Brixen valley on the way to Wörgl and Kitzbühel. This little village is perfectly placed on a plateau, which is slightly raised above the valley and the main transport routes.
It is fun to explore the province winter wonderland at Zell am See Ski Resort, where the skiing fun starts in the early autumn and carries on right through to the early summer. It is really nice to know that you will be able to partake in both snow-boarding and skiing for no fewer than ten months of the year. You can therefore enjoy the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier’s snow-covered slopes with perfect abandon and zeal!
